A Builder of Bridges and Generations: Birthday Tribute to Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu

On this day, July 14, 2025, the University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) proudly joins the engineering and academic communities in celebrating the birthday of one of its most distinguished icons — Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, FNSE, FAEng.

Engr. Omo-Ettu is not just the Founding Chairman of UNILAGFEAA; he is its cornerstone. A member of the pioneering engineering class of 1969–1972 — affectionately known as ULEC@69.72 — he has demonstrated, for over five decades, an unwavering commitment to excellence, mentorship, and nation-building.

His transformative leadership birthed what is now a thriving alumni association spanning generations of engineers. Through his pioneering efforts, UNILAGFEAA was formally established in 2017, evolving from a tight-knit class group into a dynamic, inclusive body. He led foundational public lectures, strategic projects, and infrastructure upgrades — all geared toward strengthening the Faculty of Engineering.

At the 2025 Ijebu-Ode Retreat, Engr. Omo-Ettu’s keynote address titled “Why We Formed UNILAGFEAA and My Experience as Its First Chairman” offered more than history — it was a masterclass in vision, humility, and generational impact.

Beyond structural contributions, he has called attention to critical areas like alumni engagement, public relations, and professional management — all with the goal of building a sustainable and impactful association for the future.

As we honour his life and legacy today, we are reminded of his core values: integrity, foresight, professional excellence, and above all, service. His journey inspires us to aim higher, collaborate wider, and build better.

Happy Birthday, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu!
Your legacy is our compass. May you continue to flourish in health, wisdom, and enduring purpose.
