The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) has inaugurated a new Board of Trustees, bringing together a remarkable team of accomplished professionals whose careers reflect excellence, leadership and service.

This new Board represents the very best of the UNILAG Engineering spirit — a blend of scholarship, industry expertise, public service, innovation and institutional commitment. Its inauguration marks not only a transition in leadership, but also a renewed affirmation of UNILAGFEAA’s enduring mission to support the Faculty of Engineering and strengthen the bonds of its alumni community.

Leading the Board as Chairman is Professor Funso Falade, a distinguished academic, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, and a respected authority in civil and structural engineering. His long record of service to engineering education, research and mentorship makes him a fitting choice to guide the Board at this important stage in the Association’s journey.

Serving as Secretary is Engr. Dideolu Falobi, former Chairman of UNILAGFEAA and Managing Director/CEO of Kresta Laurel Limited. Widely respected for his leadership in engineering, business and alumni affairs, he brings valuable continuity, institutional knowledge and strategic insight to the work of the Board.

The Board is further enriched by the presence of Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Rotimi Salako-Oyedele, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, whose distinguished career spans engineering, finance and public service. Her inclusion reflects the far-reaching influence of UNILAG alumni and the growing importance of technical leadership in governance and national development.

Also serving on the Board are Engr. (Mrs.) Yetunde Holloway, an accomplished civil engineer and strong advocate for women in engineering; Engr. (Mrs.) Nnoli Akpedeye, a seasoned energy industry professional with an outstanding Shell career; and Professor A.O.A. Ibhadode, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin and a renowned scholar of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

The Board also draws strength from the wealth of industry experience represented by Engr. Anthony Uchechuku Ogbuigwe, a highly accomplished chemical engineer and former senior executive in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, and Engr. (Mrs.) Oluseyi Afolake Afolabi, former ExxonMobil executive and now CEO of Reservoir and Facilities Solutions Limited.

Completing the team are Engr. (Mrs.) Christy Nkechi Udo-Okeke, renewable energy entrepreneur and Founder/CEO of Blue Camel Energy Limited, and Engr. Oluseun Akinyemi Faluyi, FNSE, a distinguished engineer known for his professional leadership, mentorship and commitment to the advancement of engineering practice in Nigeria.

Together, this distinguished Board of Trustees reflects the depth, diversity and stature of the UNILAGFEAA family. It brings to the Association a powerful combination of wisdom, credibility, experience and vision.

As UNILAGFEAA looks ahead, the new Board stands poised to provide the strategic guidance and institutional support needed to deepen alumni engagement, strengthen partnerships, and advance the continued growth of the Faculty of Engineering.

With this inauguration, UNILAGFEAA proudly enters a new chapter — one built on legacy, inspired by service, and strengthened by a shared commitment to excellence.
