May 15, 2025 By Sola Aina In Alumni Achievement The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) is delighted to announce that its Financial Secretary, Engr. Nimot Muili, will be sworn in as the 16-th Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ikeja Branch on Thursday, 22 May 2025. The event will be chaired by the President and Chairman-in-Council of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala FNSE. The colourful ceremony, which also ushers in the Branch’s 2024/2025 Executive Committee, will be held at BON Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. Proceedings commence at 12:00 noon under the distinguished chairmanship of the President and Chairman-in-Council of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala FNSE. Theme & keynote This year’s programme adopts the forward-looking theme “Innovation for Tomorrow: Connecting Resilient Infrastructure with the Blue Economy to Achieve a Lagos Smart City.” Renowned communications strategist Dr. George Thorpe, DBA, Chairman of Media Reach OMD, will deliver the keynote lecture. UNILAGFEAA’s call to alumni In an internal note to the Association’s executive council, UNILAGFEAA leadership encouraged members to turn out in force: “On your behalf, we will support her and I kindly request that all of us should be there physically.” Beyond attendance, alumni are invited to celebrate Engr. Muili’s landmark achievement by placing goodwill messages or corporate adverts in the official programme brochure.
