March 10, 2025 By feaaadmin In Uncategorized The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) held its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, February 27, 2025, where new executive members were also elected. The AGM, which had dignitaries in attendance with goodwill messages, included the Alumni Worldwide President, Engr. Dr. IfeOluwa Oyedele, FNSE, FAEng, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Association, Engr. Dr. Oye Eribake, and members of BOT, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, FNSE, FAEng, Engr. (General) Tunde Adebanjo Rtd., among many other notable alumni. Engr. Dideolu Falobi delivered his valedictory speech at the AGM, enumerating the many achievements of the Faculty Alumni Association and the tremendous support of the alumni of the faculty, particularly Governor Seyi Makinde and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, including the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Niomot Salako-Oyedele. Aside from appreciating the two Vice-Chancellors he worked with, Prof. Ogundipe and Prof. Ogunsola, and the National UNILAG Alumni Association leadership of Dr. John Momoh and Engr. Ife Oyedele, he also acknowledged key donors, with special mention of Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, the 1995 set, CCECC, LARALEK, METROPOLITAN CONSTRUCTION, ACCESS BANK, KRESTA LAUREL LIMITED, KUNLE OGUNBAYO & ASSOCIATES, and NOVA BANK, among others. Goodwill messages from the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Samson Adeosun, represented at the occasion by Prof. Peter Oluseyi, appreciated the Faculty Alumni Association for their noble roles in infrastructural renewal and intervention. Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, the pioneering Chairman of the Faculty Alumni Association, presided as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee for the election of new executive members of the UNILAGFEAA. On conclusion of the nomination and acceptance of nominees, the following are the newly elected members to run the affairs of the Faculty Alumni Association for 2025-2027: 1. Engr. Ayotunde Ogunnoiki, FNSE: National Chairman 2. Engr. (Mrs.) Titilola Oladejo: First Vice Chairman 3. Engr. Kabir Oyeleke Akindele: Second Vice Chairman 4. Engr. Gbolahan Awonusi: National Secretary 5. Engr. Gabriel Arawole: Assistant National Secretary 6. Engr. (Dr.) Lawrence Osoba: Treasurer 7. Engr. Nimot Muili: Financial Secretary 8. Mr. Sola Aina: Publicity Secretary 9. Engr. (Dr.) Kehinde Orolu: National Internal Auditor 10. Engr. Adebola Durowade: Social Secretary 11. Engr. Yemi Adetunji: Alumni Engagement Adviser 12. Engr. Dideolu Falobi, FNSE: Immediate Past Chairman (IPC) In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Engr. Ayotunde Ogunnoiki, FNSE, promised to strengthen the alumni network by enabling connections that go beyond geographical boundaries and create a sense of belonging for every member. He also pledged to empower the next generation of engineers with hands-on experience and guidance, optimize internship and mentorship programs and opportunities, and ensure the completion of the ongoing Alumni Vertical Extension Building Project. Additionally, he expressed his commitment to establishing a robust Endowment Fund to provide scholarships, resources, and support to those who need it most, while continuing to host resourceful public lectures and invest in research that drives innovation and solves actual problems.
