April 16, 2026 By Sola Aina In PRESS RELEASE The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) has formally inaugurated a new Board of Trustees (BOT), marking an important milestone in the continued strengthening of the Association’s leadership and institutional direction. The reconstituted Board consists of ten accomplished professionals with wide-ranging experience across engineering, academia, public service and industry, reflecting the depth of expertise and commitment within the UNILAG Engineering alumni community. The new Board succeeds the pioneer leadership following the exit of the founding Chairman, Engr. Dr. Oyenuga Eribake, FNSE, FAEng, and Engr. (General) Tunde Adebanjo (Rtd.), both of whom are stepping down on account of age after years of meritorious and selfless service to the Association. UNILAGFEAA also honours the memory of Late Engr. (Dr.) Temilola Kehinde, a pioneer BOT member whose contributions helped to lay the foundation for the growth and stability of the Association. The new Board is chaired by Engr. (Prof.) Funso Alphonsus Falade, FNSE, FAEng, while Engr. Dideolu Omojola Falobi, FNSE, FCIoD serves as Secretary. In his inaugural remarks, the Chairman paid glowing tribute to the pioneer BOT members for laying a solid foundation for the Association. He prayed for long life, sound mind and good health for Engr. Eribake and General Adebanjo (Rtd.), while also praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of Dr. Kehinde. He charged members of the new Board to provide strategic direction and strong institutional support to the Executive Committee, while leveraging their networks, experience and resources to advance the growth of both the Association and the Faculty of Engineering. He further emphasised that the true measure of the Board’s effectiveness would be seen in tangible contributions to alumni engagement, institutional development, and the overall upliftment of the Faculty. The inauguration of the new Board of Trustees represents a significant step in deepening UNILAGFEAA’s role as a platform for excellence, collaboration and impactful contribution to engineering education and national development.
