May 24, 2022 By feaaadmin In Uncategorized THE Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde are expected to lead team of personalities to the University of Lagos, Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association’s 2022 Luncheon on 5th of May. Both governors are alumni of the faculty. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a graduate of Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering while Governor Seyi Makinde finished from Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Another distinguished alumnus and former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel is Chairman of the occasion. The Luncheon titled, ‘A better Unilag Faculty of Engineering for all generations,’ would take place on May 5, 2022, at Raddison Blu Hotel, Ikeja. The Managing Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Abimbola Akinajo, who is also an alumnus of the faculty would deliver the keynote lecture, titled, ‘Lagos Mass Transit Project: The journey so far and Investment Opportunities.’at the luncheon. The luncheon is part of the umbrella of Special Projects of the alumni association which strategic projects identified by the faculty. Some of these include the upgrade of existing laboratories and learning facilities, vertical extension of office blocks to provide additional office spaces for lecturers, vertical extension of existing classroom blocks to provide 116 classroom seats for students and a new two-level building that will consist of a Wi-Fi enabled study centre and 60-seater restaurant among others. “All alumni of the University of Lagos Faculty of engineering are hereby requested to be in attendance at this event which promises to be a veritable networking opportunity, a reunion of sorts and an avenue to give back to our alma mater.” Share this content: ← → x ×
