March 3, 2020 By feaaadmin In Uncategorized UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS FACULTY OF ENGINEERING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION(UNILAGFEAA) HOLDS AGM, ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) held her third Annual General Meeting on February 27, 2020 at the Faculty. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engr. Dr. Oye Eribake, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Funso Falade as well as the out-going Chairman, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu showered praises on the out-going Executives whose tenure witnessed tremendous progress in the life of the Association. From left – Engr. Arawole G. Oluwasegun, Engr. Mrs Oluremi Ayeni, Engr. Dr Lawrence Osoba, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, Engr. Mrs Yetunde Holloway (Ajayi), Engr. Ayotunde Ogunnoiki and Engr. Segun Oyelola. Some of the major achievements of the Executive were listed as follows: 1. The successful hosting of the 2nd and 3rd UNILAGFEAA lecture delivered by Engr. Dideolu Falobi, Managing Director, Kresta Laurel Limited and Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, Governor of Lagos State respectively. 2. The endowment of N50,000,000.00 (Fifty Million Naira Only) Professorial Chairs at the Department of Surveying and Geo-informatics, as well as in Electrical and Electronic Engineering for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lagos by Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Seyi Makinde respectively. 3. The completion of the faculty’s WEBINAR Centre sponsored by one of the sets in conjunction with the faculty. 4. The construction of an E-laboratory for the department of Surveying and Geo-informatics at the Faculty of Engineering courtesy of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in conjunction with the Faculty. Professor Funso Falade, the Dean, seized theopportunity to invite all the members of the Alumni Association to the Hooding Ceremony for new graduates on March 10, 2020 at 2pm at the Faculty of Engineering Julius Berger Hall on the Campus. The highlights of the AGM included the election of a new Executive to be led by Engr Dideolu Falobi and a presentation on ‘The Infrastructural Renewal Programme of the Faculty’s Facilities’. The presentation focused on the construction of a students’ study centre and the remodeling and vertical extension of some of the existing buildings in the faculty. The newly elected Chairman, Engr. Dideolu Falobi In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, pledged the commitment of the new executive to the realization of the dreams of the founders of the Association being the deployment of the Association as a tool for the restoration of the faculty to its glory days, mentoring of students and networking among members. Engr. Dideolu Falobi then appealed to all members of the Alumni Association to join hands with him and the executive in the delivery on the mandate.
