The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) proudly celebrates Her Excellency, Noimot Olurotimi Salako‑Oyedele, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, as she marks her 60th birthday today, 8 January.

A distinguished UNILAG engineering alumna, Engr. Salako-Oyedele exemplifies the very ideals that UNILAGFEAA upholds: professional excellence, service to society, integrity, and purposeful leadership. Her life and career stand as a powerful testament to what rigorous engineering training, global exposure, and a deep commitment to public good can achieve.

From Engineering Foundations to Public Leadership

Trained as a civil and public health engineer, Engr. Salako-Oyedele built a solid professional career spanning the United Kingdom and Nigeria, with experience in engineering consultancy, project management, and real estate development. Her transition into public service brought with it the discipline, analytical rigour, and problem-solving mindset that engineering instils.

Since assuming office in 2019, she has served Ogun State with distinction, contributing to governance through policy coordination, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and socio-economic development initiatives. Her role reflects the growing and much-needed presence of engineers in public leadership—where technical thinking meets human impact.
