UNILAGFEAA Holds Landmark 2025 Retreat in Ijebu-Ode

The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) successfully held its 2025 Strategic Retreat from June 20–22 at Ijebu-Ode. Hosted at the residence of the association’s founding chairman, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, the 3-day retreat brought together senior alumni, faculty leaders, and association executives for a pivotal planning session focused on the future of the Association and the Faculty of Engineering.

The retreat featured in-depth presentations, reflective storytelling, strategic planning sessions, and team-building activities. Highlights included:

  • Opening Address by Engr. Ayotunde Ogunnoiki, National Chairman, who emphasized the retreat’s six core objectives including developing a 5-year strategic plan and fostering alumni engagement.
  • Keynote session by Prof. Samson Adeosun, Dean of the Faculty, on infrastructure gaps and the urgent need for alumni-led interventions in teaching, research, and student support.
  • A reflective historical account by Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu on the founding of UNILAGFEAA and the journey from ULEC@69.72 to today’s structured alumni movement.
  • Strategic presentations including current situation assessments of both the Faculty and the Association, vision setting, goal alignment, and partnership frameworks.

In a symbolic gesture, the retreat concluded with renewed alumni commitment to support faculty development, enhanced student experience, and robust alumni networking.

The event, which included participation from over a dozen high-level members, reaffirmed the power of alumni collaboration in transforming institutions.
